ADR Training

For driver's who are involved in the Carriage of Dangerous Goods then you will likely need to have an ADR training certificate.  Highland Transport Training offer ADR courses throughout the Highlands and Islands in both tanks and package modes, and all classes (excl 1&7).  This training would be suitable for those involved in the fuel, chemical, whisky and general haulage industries.  The ADR certificate lasts 5 years before it must be renewed.  Please get in touch to find out more and to discuss your requirements.

What's involved?

The training is usually over 4 days, with the exams on the 5th day.  These are generally Monday to Friday.  For a refresher (those with ADR licences who need to renew them) this is usually done over 3 days.  All candidates must sit the 'core' exam, followed by the mode of carriage which is 'tanks', 'packages' or both and then the exams for each class.  The Classes are Gases, Flammable Liquids, Flammable Solids, Oxidising Agents, Toxics, Corrosives and Miscellaneous. For candidates wishing to do all classes, this can be done over 3 general exam papers rather than 7 individual ones.  Get in touch to discuss what your requirements are.

Can it count towards my CPC?

All Highland Transport Training ADR courses are also approved by JAUPT so can be used towards your CPC training hours.  Each ADR training day will count as 7 hours towards your CPC.  So, for a full initial course you will get 4 days (28 hours) towards you CPC included in the training.

How much does it cost?

The cost varies depending on how many exams will be taken, and whether CPC hours are to be included, but you can be assured that it is very competitive.  Please get in touch to discuss what you are needing, and we can put together a tailored quote to suit you.

Online Learning

In addition to our in-person driving lessons, we also offer online learning options to help you prepare for your driving test.
