To get the C+E Licence you must either first have a Cat C licence, or have a C+E Provisional licence. For those going direct to C+E, you will also need to pass the theory tests. All provisional licences issued after 15th Nov 2021 will automatically have the C+E provisional entitlement. If your provisional licence pre-dates this please get in touch to find out how to get it upgraded.
The cost of getting the C+E licence will vary depending on what route you wish to take.
For a direct to C+E course it is done over 24 hours and costs £1400 + vat. This is for individuals who have no experience driving larger vehicles. There is also £40 off road manoeuvres test fee and driving test fee of £115.
For those who have Cat C or Cat D licence already this can be reduced depending on the individuals experience, and will cost less too.
You must either have a Cat C entitlement already, or a provisional C+E licence. If your provisional has been issued after 15th Nov 2021 you will have the provisional C+E licence. If it has been issued before this please get in touch to find out how to get it upgraded.
